Demi Lovato shows off legs in black leather pencil skirt
She recently sent out an inspirational message urging women to love their bodies.
And Demi Lovato showcased the confidence she has in her figure as she showed it off in a clinging black leather skirt during an appearance on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old singer donned the casual ensemble as she stopped by the set of the showbiz-centred programme Extra at Universal City, California.
The former Disney star tucked in a short sleeved heather-grey top into the garment featuring an arched hemline along with a matching pair of strappy black leather heels.
Demi combed her raven-coloured chin-length locks down as she sported natural, complimentary make-up on her face highlighted by a swipe of pink lipstick.
She was not alone while arriving for the appearance as she carried her adorable white pooch along and even chatted it up with host Mario Lopez while cuddling with the pup named Buddy.
The X Factor star did not just show affection towards her pet, but also for her fans that were in attendance.
She waved toward her fans before the interview and after made sure that several of her fans did not leave empty handed as she signed autographs and even took selfies with some of them.
No doubt Demi is an inspiration to her followers especially after an Instagram bikini post she shared on Friday accompanied by a message about being body confident.
The brunette beauty wrote to her 11.7m followers: 'Regardless of what society tells you these days... You don't have to have a thigh gap to be beautiful.
'It is possible to love your body the way it is. #fitness #health #acceptance #selflove.'
She has had her own struggles regarding weight as she has been famously open about suffering an eating disorder as a teenager.
In 2011, Demi opened up to Seventeen Magazine about her past struggles regarding her figure.
'I started compulsively overeating at a very young age' she told them. 'And then I almost stopped eating altogether at the age of 12, after being harassed by kids at school, for being "fat".
'Eating disorders often stem from feelings of low self esteem, depression, anxiety, or in my case, being teased and ridiculed for my weight.'
she added: 'I also believe that a big contributing factor to these feelings is the pressure that's out there to meet impossible standards.'
Demi - who has struggled with bulimia - spent time in rehab in 2010 for 'emotional and physical issues'.
